Noons Creek Field Trip “Noons Creek Hatchery” Grades K – 7

We have arranged a field trip for students in Grades K – 7 on Tuesday October 19, 2021. The program has a maximum or 25 students per group and we have scheduled 2 groups. The first group will run from 10am-12pm and the second from 12:30pm-2:30pm. Select your preferred time slot; it will be first come first serve for time slots.

Please park at Port Moody Rec Center. The hatchery entrance is behind the building on the ice rink side. Please arrive 15 minutes prior to your scheduled start time.

Field Trip Description: Noons Creek salmon hatchery is a 100% volunteer operated facility. They raise Coho and Chum salmon from eggs to fingerlings (young fish) before releasing them during the Fingerling Festival each May for their four-year journey in the Pacific Ocean. The hatchery is a wonderful place for families to bring their children to learn about salmon and local wildlife and view Indigenous art and carvings.

This trip is “rain or shine”, please dress for the weather!
