Youth Job Skills

We wanted to provide you with some information on the next intake for the Youth Skills link program hosted by the Boys and Girls Club of BC and sponsored through Service Canada.

 

Skills Link is a program that supports youth who are looking to build their job search skills in pursuit of obtaining gainful employment

 

The program is a 17 week paid program which consists of:

·         5 weeks of classroom training including career exploration, job search skills, life skills, problem solving skills, anger management skills, and a foundational curriculum in critical thinking skills
-up to 12 weeks of work experience (with the goal of obtaining the job!)
-Short term training necessary in today’s labour market (First Aid, World Host, Fork Lift, etc.)

 

Youth who are eligible must be between the ages of 15-30, and be legally entitled to work in Canada.
