DESCRIPTION:Students in Grades 3 to 5 are invited to join us for a field trip to the Lochiel Schoolhouse\, located at 710 204 Street in Langley\, BC. It is located within Campbell Valley Park. Nestled in the heart of the\nCampbell Valley Regional Park\, the Lochiel One Room School is a time capsule in an idyllic setting.\nVisiting classes are instantly transported back to a simpler time when education was shaped by two\nbasic components; mastery of the academic fundamentals and discipline. \nUnder the stern guidance of the Schoolmarm students quickly adapt to ways gone by as they are taken\nthrough a 90min lesson which is designed to illustrate what a day in the life of a pioneer student would\nhave been like. Of course the 3 R’s (reading\, writing and r’ithmetic) are at the core of the lesson\, but\nstudents also get to experience chores\, recess and a healthy dose of discipline. \n  \nStudents and participating parents are encouraged to dress in pioneer wear to further add to the experience!\n  \nLochiel Permission Form is here.
